A compromise agreement has been reached in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, determining that the Dan Region Association of Towns for Sewage shall pay the Lev Hayam Club the amount of NIS 150,000.

Last year, the Lev Hayam Club filed, through Attorney Boaz Raveh and Attorney Vered Lupo, a compensation claim in the amount of NIS 250,000 against the Dan Region Association of Towns for Sewage. The Club argued that it was forced to shut down all of its marine activities for about a month, following the Ministry of Health's notice of the prohibition on bathing, surfing, diving and sailing at the marina in Tel Aviv, due to the serious seawater pollution on the shores of Tel Aviv, as a result of the decision of the Dan Region Association of Towns for Sewage to convey sewage into the sea, following a rupture in one of the sewage pipes.

The plaintiff manages and operates a sailing, surfing and kayak club near the Tel Aviv Marina, and according to the plaintiff, the damages which it has sustained are estimated at around NIS 250,000
